The Legendary Collaboration of the Year So Far Award most definitely should be awarded to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who teamed up with esteemed British actor, Idris Elba for new single ‘Dance Off’. It’s a silly yet catchy old school hip-hop jam with an off-the-wall video in true Macklemore style, directed by the man himself. Check it out now in their Artist Of The Week playlist alongside all of the duo’s previous hits incl. ‘Downtown’, ‘White Walls’ and the huge No. 1 ‘Thrift Shop’.
It’s been a long time coming but RnB goddess Alicia Keys is back with new music and the promise of a new album this year. ‘In Common’ is a slight departure from the New Yorker’s usual classic sound, with more focus on dancehall-styled rhythms and electronic beats. And the monochrome music video is classy and minimal, brought to life by acclaimed director’s Pierre Debusschere and Keeley Gould who worked on the award-winning promo for Queens Of The Stone Age’s ‘Go With The Flow’. Check it out now in her Artist Spotlight playlist.
